At Least They’re Birken.
Birkenstock Campaign
‘At Least They’re Birken.’ A diptych campaign showing life’s most painful moments. A knockout punch, getting a tattoo, a Brazilian wax, a heartbreak, a dentist’s chair. However, in each image, a second image reveals the same person’s feet, comfortably in a pair of worn-in Birkenstocks. Alongside is the tagline ‘At least they’re Birken.’ This campaign captures something true, life will always find a million ways to hurt you, but the right pair of shoes won’t be one of them. Birkenstocks are famously tough to break in but once they’re molded to your feet, nothing else comes close. Pain is temporary but the comfort is permanent.
