“I grew up in Portland. My father passed away when I was young and my mother raised us while running a florist business. She taught me that every single thing you put out there in the world has to be the best you can do.
I studied economics at Portland State and worked in finance because it felt like the responsible path. But I kept craving creative work. Eventually I realized I needed to stop playing it safe. I moved to Austin and started learning visual effects.
She passed away during my first year. It clarified everything.
Now I’m at Framestore making shots for campaigns as a compositor, but I keep asking questions like: What turns a campaign into culture? When does advertising become part of how people see the world? Now I’m building campaigns that one day will answer those questions. I want to make work people will forever remember, timeless.
My mother built a name making flowers matter at the most important moments in people’s lives. I’m going to build mine making brands do the same.”
